Pre & Post Care Instructions

Preparing for a powder brows procedure involves a few essential steps to ensure optimal results:
- Avoid blood-thinning substances: alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications or supplements for at least a week before the procedure. These substances can increase bleeding during the procedure, leading to less desirable results.
- Cease eyebrow treatments: waxing, threading, or tinting at least two weeks before your powder brows appointment. This allows your natural brows to grow out and gives me a clear canvas to work with.
- Communicate your preferences: during the consultation clearly communicate your desired eyebrow shape, color, and style. Bring reference photos if needed, and trust my expertise in recommending the most suitable options for your facial features.
- Follow other pre-procedure instructions: avoid face peeling, sun exposure for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the procedure. If you have undergone a botulinum toxin (Botox) or filler procedure, it is recommended to wait for approximately 1-1,5 months before getting a PMU procedure. Adhering to these guidelines will help ensure the best possible outcome.
Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure the best healing and long-lasting results following the Powder brows procedure. You will be given a detailed list of aftercare procedures. To fasten healing, prevent infection and pigment loss follow these basic recommendations:
- Keep the area clean and dry. You can wash your face and take warm showers, but under no circumstances should you steam the area of the permanent makeup. Pat the area gently with a towel.
- Avoid visiting saunas, steam rooms, and swimming pools during the first 2 weeks after the procedure.
- Refrain from touching, scratching, or picking at the treated area to prevent infection or premature pigment loss.
- Apply recommended aftercare products: recommended aftercare ointments, creams, or serums โ if recommended.
- Avoid makeup and skincare products or any other cosmetics directly on the treated area during the initial healing phase.
- Shield the treated area from direct sunlight or UV exposure by wearing a wide-brimmed hat or using sunscreen with a high SPF.
- Avoid excessive sweating and strenuous activities that can cause excessive moisture and friction on the treated area.
Do not hesitate to schedule follow-up appointments to assess the healing progress, address any concerns, and perform necessary touch-ups to achieve the desired results.
